What an incredible year for Vacation Bible School here at Hope Apostolic Church. Approximately 30 students, ages 2-12 enjoyed three jam-packed days of learning and fun. This is a VBS we certainly do not want to forget. The Hope Kids enjoyed fun games, arts and crafts, and time to play with one another and grow as friends. The theme this year was "I Survived: God Provides, God Protects, and God Prevails," and it was based on what happened to the Children of Israel in the wilderness. Over the past six months, our Hope Kids have been taking a journey through the Old Testament, a journey which brought them to the point where the Children of Israel were wandering in the wilderness. The Hope Kids learned about how God provided manna and quail when the Israelites were hungry, and water from a rock when they were thirsty. They learned how God protected them by leading them to victory over the Amelekites and by giving them the Ten Commandments. Finally, they learned how God prevailed in the wilderness. We took our kids on a journey through the Tabernacle in the wilderness, teaching them about how the Children of Israel carried the presence of God with them wherever they went. We ended VBS on Wednesday night, teaching students how they can carry the presence of God with them wherever they go when they are filled with the Holy Ghost. The altars were full of children seeking the face of God.
